Guy was born on July 11, 1936, in Mt. Kisco, New York, to the late William and Emma Funston. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Guy had a knack for selling vintage items and antiques. In his spare time, he was a member of the Lions Club in Chatham County, and a past member of the Moose Lodge in Sanford.

Dorman “Chip” Dove II, 58, of Morehead City, North Carolina, got his wings the morning of Sunday, December 18, 2022. Always having the need for speed, “Stormin Dorman” as he was known in his jet skiing days, ran a fierce race with cancer, but cancer won. Dorman, known to all as Chip, was born on April 28, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Peggy Cannon Clark, 82, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical in Winston-Salem. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2023, at First Methodist Church in Morehead City. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Newport.
Betty Louise Morris, 97, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born November 19, 1925, in Jamestown, Tennessee the daughter of James Wesley and Nancy Ann Crabtree. Betty had attended the York Institute and later married her first husband, James Beaty, and moved to Muncie in 1952.
